Ashley Lightspeed Messerschmitt, also popularly known as Jana Lightspeed, is a student graduate from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign,1997-2001. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. Jana ventured into tech immediately after her graduation.
She has within the years held a number of roles in her career on the engineering field, business developments, sales and marketing which led to the growth of her Curriculum vitae leading to a VP position at Twitter and Director at Netflix. She was a Sr Manager, Global Accounts at DivX from 2004 to 2007.She became a vice president, business development and platform at Twitter from 2010 to 2016 where she was spearheading partnerships, enterprise sales developer relations, platform and developer marketing, technical program management and partner engineering. Concurrently she was the director of business development at Netflix from 2009-2010. Here, her main agenda was to build the early partnerships of Netflix.
